Cloud customers now can build and manage amazon-style clouds of their own using CloudStack 3, a latest version of cloud computing platform for private clouds from Citrix.
V3 reported that current version is still available in beta, while the full production build of CloudStack 3 is set for release later this quarter, and is the first new version of the CloudStack software since Citrix acquired developer Cloud.com last year.
“New release brings the power of Amazon-style clouds to customers of all sizes, enabling them to transform datacentre resources into self-service private clouds with advanced orchestration, automation and self-service support,” told Citrix to V3.
Sameer Dholakia, vice president of Cloud Platforms at Citrix said that the tight integration with the Citrix cloud portfolio, enables customers to gain access to a set of cloud virtualisation, orchestration and networking solutions.
